What is your professional path before training? What field did you work in and how many years did you work?

I worked in fashion engineering for 15 years, the main functions are the development of collections of foreign fashion brands in Lithuania. The work is very dynamic, I met many creative and very interesting people. However, I have always felt the need for data analysis in my work. When I became interested in IT, communicating with retrained people, I realized that data analytics is exactly what I need.

How did you choose your chosen training program and why Vilnius Coding School?

By participating Women Go Tech project, I met a wonderful mentor who recommended Vilnius Coding School.

How did the training go? What knowledge and skills have you acquired?

The training went well, I was a little skeptical about distance learning, but I completely changed my mind after completing the course. I acquired the basics of data analysis, got acquainted with the tools that usually dominate this field.

How did the search for the company go? Was it difficult?

Vilnius Coding School helped here again. After completing the course, I participated VSC Career Center in the consultation where he helped me prepare the correct CV and later recommended me For the State Data Agency.

What advice would you give to people who dream of changing careers, but do not dare for various reasons (thinking that it is too late to change something, that they will be too weak for IT companies, etc.)?

The lyrics in the song are "You were born neither too early nor too late, you were born just in time". It is never too late to change, as long as the thought that you need to change crosses your mind - then change... Motivation only grows after making the first decision.
